Here is my pre-concept proposal. It's in dutch, so sorry for all those people who don't speak it. In short it is about the relation between words and the space there in and how they influence each other.
Interesting starting point. Although I think it DOES matter what you want to 'talk'about. It cant just be any word, right? …and how would you put the word(s) in space using PRINT? The 'edition' (repetition, of oplage in Dutch) is also important, so these two deliverables are missing in the setup right now.
I am approaching this as a proper cliffhanger,.... building up tension till friday ;) in other words,.. I am working really hard to get it good! hahahaha
Got some small ideas for making a modular typeface, so I can print each component and later on cut them out past them together so they can form a letter. This way I can go big by printing with a A0 size screen, thus making each individual letter really really big.
And concerning the whole subject about having something to "talk" about,... well I think that, if properly executed, the whole project is already saying something about the fact that you don't need a lot of words ore images to say something. I am definitely not going to have big political ore other smart opinions, there are already to many of those.
But if I must have an opinion and something to "talk" about, then it will be that smart graphic design can have a big influence on how we experience things, thus proving it's value.
Anyway I will send you a better and revised version of my pre-proposal proposal and send you the new and hopefully final proposal.
